  • March 13, 2007 Not In the Key Etta sang in

The sheet music has the correct lyrics, but is not in the key that Etta James sang it in. This version's copywrite is from a 1940's movie that came before Etta rerecorded it in the 1960's. My vocal coach took it down to another key -I believe...

F major or F minor and it worked fairly well at that point. But if you don't want to buy a whole song book to get the version Etta sang in this version will do if transposed to the correct key.

  • October 02, 2006 Previous comment technically incorrect

This IS the song "At Last", written by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren, and performed by Etta James, among others (chorus lyrics: "At last, my love has come along..."). This is the original arrangement, which may be slightly different than the one the previous commenter is familiar with, but the...

lyrics, melody, chords are all the same. If you want to blues it up, then feel free to take liberties with the piano arrangement, which is how it should be done anyway. ;)

  • November 12, 2001 Different Version

If you are looking for the blues version of this song sang by Etta james this is not it. I received the sheet music in the mail ready and excited to play and sing, but was disappointed as to what version it was.
