  • 2008-12-12 00:00:00.0 Great idea, great price, about 25 cents per tango

This book contains reprints of all the traditional Argentine tango sheets. No fluff or filler here. Words are listed apart from the music, which makes all the music playable without page turns. One caveat: it contains no Carlos Gardel or Astor Piazzolla, the pop stars of tango. But that probably...

makes it affordable for copyright reasons, and you can find other collections of those two greats.

This book offers a nice selection of both Tango and Milonga piano pieces. The forward for the book describes the origin of Tango in its birth place of Buenos Aires and its emergence into other countries. The forward is written in Spanish, English , French and German. If you dance Tango...

, these pieces will give you a better understanding of musicality and syncopation when you practice playing them. This book is challenging and very enjoyable.
