This is a nice book for background music. Being arranged for either lever or pedal harp, it is rather simplistic, easy for sight reading if necessary. There aren't many surprises and it is necessary to add to and improvise to make it more interesting if your playing level allows...

. My only major disappointment is that The Music of the Night does not include the entire piece, only the main theme. Also, Phantom of the Opera is not a piece that I would play even for background music (but I'm not sure there is an arrangment of this I would play on the harp). Overall, this was a good purchase and nice to have available to play.
