  • March 20, 2008 Yes - the tab is correct

Even if you can't hear it, the tab is correct - this is what was played on the CD. A young Jason Newsted generously gave a few hours of his time to do a video interview for this book and played through each song start to finish. If a few...

notes sound "off", it's only because you can't hear it on the CD and he never directly follows the guitar. In short, this book shows what you would hear on the CD if the mix was better. But - all the notes are right!

  • November 03, 2007 Who cares if you cant listen to the bass

It's still Correct tablature. Amazing book that shows Newsted's unique style with double-stops and great, fast picking. I would recommend to anyone

I bought this book a year ago and it's really no use because you can't hear the bass worth a crap on the cd. I would just recommend a dvd. A dvd will show you the timing.

  • April 17, 2006 Not the best book, but it's okay.

As we all know, "...And Justice For All" has virtually no bass. Go ahead, listen to it. Tell me if you hear the bass, at all. Well, the only reason I bought the book is to learn "One" which is my favorite Metallica song ever. But I guess if you...

want to learn some other songs from the album, go ahead.
