  • November 27, 2011 Great value

Over the past 10 years, I have learned most of the pieces in this book. It's a great selection, well-edited, and sturdy enough to hold up to repeated use.

    Difficulty Level:
  • October 02, 2007 a disappointment

Unlike the other books in this series, I found this one disappointing. While the introductory material was somewhat helpful, there wasn't that much explanatory material for the pieces themselves. Also this is NOT an intermediate book or an introductory book.

Debussy's works are some of the most beautiful compositions I have ever heard. This book contains a good selection of pieces from lovely, flowing pieces like Reverie, Claire De Lune, and Arabesque to jazzily energetic works such as La Petite Negre and Golliwog's Cake Works. Thep pieces are...

challenging, but not too hard for intermediate players. Almost all of them are truly enjoyable - there are no filler or blah pieces. The notation is good, and easy to read. I would highly reccomend this book.

I thought this book was very educational with the info about debussy. I don't see many books with the info on the composer, and it was something new. I had also liked the way the music was put together, and I enjoyed playing it. I had always liked the...
