I ordered 14 of each, Classical and Romantic of this book for teaching music history to a group of 9-13 years old young people at my own music school. This book has very limited information about composers’ lives and compositions. Illustrations take good part of the pages. Mean while...

, I do not find the context is suitable for younger than age 9. The vocabulary and the text seem easy for an instance, and then suddenly it gets vague and difficult to comprehend for a youngster. This happens, because the facts of composers’ psychological states and behavioral analysis that bought up in these series are not really for that age digestion. I stopped using this book and I am happy that I did not order all four of the series.
