    Difficulty Level:
  • June 08, 2011 American Folksongs & Spirituals

I purchased this for an adult beginner doing both piano and singing with me. It was a good choice for both areas ... not too hard to read and songs in a good voice range for someone without a big range. Some songs have difficult timing that is past a general...

beginner's understanding, but it is workable! This book could be best used for slightly higher levels than beginner and for recreation for those more advanced.

  • April 25, 2007 Great songs, well produced

The only thing I find difficult about this book is the fact that some of the songs are in difficult keys for guitar. Deep River, for instance, is in Eflat. Still, good folk songs, good spirituals and well presented. Well worth the money

    Spring Hill, FL
    Difficulty Level:
  • September 16, 2004 The best of American Folklore!

Great book for the beginner, which I happen to be. I intend to mention it on my website. The arrangements are easy to play without sounding like they're easy to play. Five Stars!!!
