Each of these pieces in this book are very enjoyable to play. Although I am a good sight-reader, I've still had to work a little on each of them. I have played from this book almost exclusively since it arrived. There is no greater compliment.

Wonderful arrangements of early American folk hymns! Very playable, but not boring.

  • February 03, 2007 Great arrangements!

Original and interesting arrangements of some old-familiars, as well as some less well-known tunes. Almost sight-readable for an experienced pianist, but with enough challenge to prevent boredom.

This book has solid arrangements that an Early Advanced student can take into almost any denomination's worship setting as a prelude, offertory or postlude. Each piece has a theme and variation feel to it, with ample opportunity to shade a melody and handle key modulations. I wholeheartedly recommend it...
