The companion CD contains 26 demo tracks for listening, as well as many play-along examples so you can practice improvising over various musical styles and progressions. Produto muito bom. Tem sido de grande valia para mim. Tenho formação clássica e me falta o "dom" da improvisação. Estou gostando dos exercícios e dicas deste material.

  • July 17, 2011 Amazing phrasing trumpet edition

This is a first class publication for trumpet players who wish to have skills in improvising. Inclusion of a CD is a must for all modern methods and instruction books; Aural concepts must be given to students so that skills are not learnt in isolation. The structure of the book...

is well laid out and can be attempted in bite size bits or turn straight to the sports pages!!! The sections on shaping and contouring solos are to a must more serious soloists and the basic structures are informative and helpful for our first time adventure.

Learning improvisation is a difficult task. This book gives a set of incremental steps that help lead you into building improvisational skills. This is something that I have never been successful at doing; but I hope this book will give me the structure that I need. I think it is...

    a good approach.

As a clasical trumpet player brought up with precision basics and sight reading, I always felt I was missing the proper training in developing improvisation. This book gives so many ideas and excercises, as well as a fun CD to play along with. Like scales, I will never get through...

    with this book.
