Program notes and staging suggestions are included in this marvelously descriptive work. Duration - ca. 4:30 Free interdisciplinary curriculum for the piece is available for download at http://www.BandQuest.org.

Terrible bassoon part. Poorly written. Editing necessary all over. This coming from a player playing for over 20 years.

I love the bassoon part (and it just so happens I play bassoon), it's one of the only pieces were bassoon is important. Our school played it last year, unfortunately I wasn't in that band :(

Being a bassoon player myself, I have to say, the bassoon solo just ROCKS!!!!!! It's just awesome. Again this is coming from another bassoon player.

  • April 03, 2008 It is fun to play but it is long for us.

We are playing it in band and for the flutes at my middle school it is a very long time with almost no chances to rest your arms.
