  • November 27, 2007 Seriously.... just teach yourself

    I'm not getting a whole lot out of this book. I would have expected to see instructional material or theory in the book. Instead, it seems to be a progressive collection of songs. Amongst the songs, they've scattered various lookup tables, and paragraphs shorter than this review. I...

    guess the idea is that you should think about chords and progressions as you play each song. I'd rather play a decent song instead. I've learned just as much about chords and progressions by playing easy arrangements of songs. The only thing nice I can say about the book is that the title seems to be spot-on. Skip buying this book and just teach yourself.
