This book is ideal for the young beginner. It's appropriately geared to ages 4-7. Alfred is easily read and understood while providing a good start in musical notation and basic skills. Nice book and we enjoy using it.

  • December 05, 2011 A Good Review

I am currently using this book as somewhat of a review for a 7 year old piano student. She recently completed the primer level of "The Music Tree" method. She is working out of the Christmas Joy book also. The combination is working well!

  • October 20, 2007 Great for beginners - non readers

I use this theory book for beginners who are not yet readers. The children can usually do the work without the assistance of a parent (often the parent doesn't have time!!).
