  • October 23, 2007 Reliable source!

I've used Alfred's books when I was learning to play piano over 20 years ago, and I use them now when I teach my own students. They're tried and true, reliable and fun. I wouldn't use anything else.

  • May 01, 2007 Good Book!!

This book is really starts to further develop the students rhythm and fingering skills. It also forces the students to apply correct technique in order to ensure accurate placement. Most songs are enjoyable only a few where the students seem to lose focus. Overall good book

  • November 05, 2003 Practice is very important at this level

This is a great lesson book, with varying styles, requiring diligent practice. It is usually the one that separates the serious students from the luke-warm ones. Some familiar favorites include: "America, the Beautiful", "Battle Hymn of the Republic", and "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands."
