    Difficulty Level:
  • August 07, 2014 a must for every developing pianist!

A wonderful collection of childhood themed pieces from the Russian master! Rich harmonies, beautiful melodies, variety of different pianistic techniques made this collection a standard repertoire for every developing pianist along with Clementi' op 36 or kabalevski's op 30. Most of the pieces are on the RCM syllabus, this...

is just to confirm their incredible musical and pedagogical value.

Not my favorite set of pieces, but Italian Song is really lovely and not too difficult for an upper intermediate student. Some of the others have rather challenging harmonies for an intermediate student, but within reach with some work.
