    San Carlos, CA
    Difficulty Level:
  • January 09, 2006 THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO!!!

Not sure what DVD Henry saw, but this is an excellent DVD. If you want tab, get the book. Andy Aledort visually breaks down Albert's licks clearly & concisely in STANDARD tuning. For serious Albert King students, Andy even shows you how to tune and play your guitar exactly like...

Albert (tuned down 1&1/2 steps, gtr upside down, strung normal). You need to already know the blues scale and understand the difference between 1/4, 1/2, 1, 1&1/2 and 2 step bends as well as the standard I-IV-V blues progressions in order to follow along. If you already know these things, you'll love this DVD. Andy even goes through what guitars, amps & effects Albert used during his career. Start with this DVD before you dive into SRV's stuff and you'll be glad you did. 5 stars for this one (and Andy Aledort)!
