I got this score under the impression that it had the last 15 minutes (from the beginning of the chase, to the end of the film) of music. I was only half right. While it does start of with the famous high pitched ostinato, it does cover the bike chase...

faithfully as written, but does not cover the bike-flying scenes, instead cutting straight to the goodbye scene. Discovering this made me feel a bit ripped off. I suppose this is why they've published the 'flying theme' sperately. It's also curious to see that this is a "2nd edition". I would be curous to see what changes have been made (if any). Otherwise, it's an enjoyable read, and listen. It's just very annoying that the music builds to that flying climax, but then goes off and skips ahead, creating a very anti-climatictic feel.

As a John Williams fan and symphonic music composer myself I had a great pleasure to analyse this score from movie ET. With Cakewalk Sonar software I have made it in midi file to perform my knowledges in orchestrating technics. I'm impatient to discover all future works about John...

  • May 27, 2006 Great score

This concert suite of music from ET is a great representation of the music John Williams wrote for the film. It is not exactly what is heard in the film because it is a concert suite that has been recorded a few times...look for that recording that follows the...

score exactly. Great purchase and great music!

This a wonderful representation of a brilliant score by maestro john williams. All of the themes are extremely memorable, and the price is very cheap. OVerall, it is a great buy, be sure to add this to your collection.
