I have this book already and am ordering as xmas gifts for my kids so they can start their own library of music. I have a lot of xmas music and I find myself going back to this book all the time. It is a great selection of songs and...

the arrangements are nice. Some songs are harder than others. I really like the duet portion in the back of the book. The O Holy Night sounds very impressive in 4 hands.

Not too hard, but not super simple either. Relevant to your own level of skill. But the arrangements are well fleshed-out and sound beautiful without being so challenging you give up. Has all my favorites, and I play them year round.

  • December 06, 2007 A lot of fun!

I am enjoying the Christmas Encyclopedia very much. The arrangements of even the most familiar hymns are unique and a lot of fun to play. This book is an excellent addition to any libray!

them are too easy and the songs are too short. I would not recommend this book at all. I returned it as soon as I went through the songs; they're terrible.

This is my second Tom Roed book and I have thoroughly enjoyed both. The music in this book has been arranged to enjoy the music, not make yourself a slave in learning it. [...]
