Recorder consort (NSAT)
Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791). Recorder Quartets. Score and Parts. Published by Moeck (MM.MK02827).

Item Number: MM.MK02827

Part of the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet series. Which recorder player has not been secretly annoyed that Mozart, the big genius of the classical period, did not compose a single piece for the recorder? The "Adagio and Allegro", (KV594) is a piece that suits a recorder quartet remarkably well. Apparently it took Mozart quite an effort to write this work, as documented in letters to his wife. As to the beautiful melodies and masterly structures and proportions little is noticable of the painful labour Mozart suffered.
