  • February 03, 2012 I like this book

I have been using this book for six weeks now with a nine-year-old student who previously played guitar and read music well on that instrument. I like this book - it's kid-friendly and, so far, it's my favorite and first choice for introducing the bass to...

    anyone.

I can't believe how easy it is to play the doublebass after playing the cello. I owe the easy switch to this book!! A lot of melodies of different genres and technical ideas progress efficiently. Highest recommendation!

  • June 26, 2008 great beginner bass book

I'd recommend this to everyone who wants to play the double bass and never played it before. Covers beginning steps really well; no nonsense, straightforward. Easy transition for me from guitar.
