The arranger, Colette Call Lofgren, has worked for 20 years as the director of music for the Youth Enrichment Foundation, a non-profit foundation that teaches piano to more than 700 elementary, middle school and high school students each year. Ever since it was released, "A Thousand Years" is consistently a favorite of the students and is often requested in all grade levels. This arrangement makes the song realistic for a beginning student to play, and can stand alone as a solo, but the duet will make students feel (and sound) like super-stars! 2016 Arranging Contest Entry.
