(Level III) Chuck's beautiful ballad has been an audience and musician's favorite for many years, which has, resulted in several settings, including a previous big band arrangement. This latest 1995 version is the one recorded on Chuck Owen and the Jazz Surge, and is a stunning, quasi-orchestral feature for soprano sax. An initial brass chorale contrasts sharply with the soprano's stark entrance, but returns for the lush, romantic climax and introspective coda. Also features a solo for piano.
