I use the book for my guitar lessons and I find them very well. The students learn in a fast way reading and playing, but it ain't easy for them. Only the real student shall get benefit of this course.

As famous Jazz guitarist, Mike Stern, said “…[Modern Method for Guitar Book is] the best method ever written for guitar. When someone that well-known, that well-respected, comments on a book by the Berklee Press, you have just got to believe it. The “Modern Method for Guitar Book now...

includes a DVD-ROM, so players can understand it better. Even without the DVD-ROM, this book is still very clear with its explanations on various things such as scales, melodic studies, chord and arpeggio studies, how to read music, special exercises for developing technique in both hands, and chord voicing. If you don’t know where to start, START WITH THIS ONE! I guarantee this book is worth going through! And if you’re really driven, go for Volume 2 and Volume 3! Hey, if you’re not driven, just do it. It will be WORTHWHILE.
