I like using this product even for more advanced students. Often they are working on large pieces and can lose their sight-reading ability if they don't keep it refreshed by using these exercises.

I've enjoyed using "A Line a Day" because it's not an overwhelming approach to improving sight reading. You just practice one line or four measures of music a day. It's really good at exposing you to different key signatures so that you're not playing just in...

    C. The time signatures are varied as well. It's a very well rounded book. I'm currently on Day 23 of the book, and I feel that my sight reading has improved because not I can recognize patterns and I'm not so intimidated by having to sight read anymore. The book is designed so that you can monitor your own improvement. You can be real about your strength and weaknesses by keeping a log on how many times you have practiced a line. I would recommend this to anyone, especially to beginner piano students that need to improve their sight reading. Because it's only a line, also, you feel accomplished when you complete each day, like your slowly but surely improving.
