Mixed chorus Treble Voice, Bass Voice, Keyboard
For Three-Part Mixed Voices with Keyboard. Composed by Spanish Folk Song. Arranged by David Eddleman. Choral. Piano reduction/vocal score. With Standard notation. Published by Carl Fischer (CF.CM8798).

Item Number: CF.CM8798

ISBN 0825850363. Key: D minor. Text: Anonymous.

A beautiful version of a Carl Fischer best seller, this 3-part arrangement, by the composer, of A la nanita nana is sure to duplicate the success of the original 2-part title. An enchantingly soulful tune is set simply with a sensitively wrought piano part that will touch the audience at any holiday concert. The piece can be sung (as here) in Spanish or in David Eddleman's own idiomatic English translation.

  • May 27, 2012 There are much better versions

This is quite a mediocre vocal and bland instrumental version of the song. There are many versions, but the one sung by Yulia Smaga (you can find it on Youtube) is by far the superior: it is the most refined, sublime and full of spiritual significance.

  • November 22, 2009 Another winner!

This was a favorite of our community adult chorus from start to finish. Not too difficult "note-wise" so you can work on blending and dynamics. A good piece to show off your group's control of a phrase.

My high school ensemble loves this peace, and it's not too difficult! The melody is haunting, and the harmonies only serve to enhance the melody rather than distract. It gave my students a chance to sing in another language, and the LOVE this song! It's their favorite in...

our whole concert of carols from around the world! It's just beautiful!

  • November 19, 2008 Very pretty, not too hard

I wasn't familiar with this tune, and it's a winner. Good arrangement, not very difficult, interesting key changes. You need a few good sopranos for the descant.
