A twelve-movement extended work for SATB choir, soloists, keyboard (organ or piano), and instruments. The text by Richard Leach is a Lutheran re-envisioning of the Requiem Mass that is a celebration of God in Christ's victory over death. Including settings of the Kyrie, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei, the work as a whole is confessional rather than intercessory or triumphalistic.

The music by Amanda Husberg-composer of two of the most popular new tunes in Lutheran Service Book, SARAH-ELIZABETH and LOVE'S LIGHT-was written to reflect the more joyous nature of the text. Written in a variety of styles, the movements may be used independently for numerous occasions throughout the Church Year, or the work may be performed as an integrated concert piece.

Contents: 1. Sentences: Where could I go from Your Spirit?; 2. Introit: I Heard a voice from heaven saying; 3. Kyrie: Come from dust, we go to dust; 4. Psalm: Out of the depths; 5. This requiem was written with almost all new texts by a lovely poet. Each of the pieces can be done independently, two are without any instruments. It was written so that a moderately sized church choir could do it. The piano part is not too difficult. The publisher printed it...

in a large size format which is very easy to use. There is a variety of styles of music in the whole piece. I think your choir and congregation will love it. It can also be used for a concert piece.
