Not worth it for later tabs

I currently own this book and have owned most of Yngwie's previous tab books. As far as the anthology is concerned, Yngwie's ealier songs are tabbed out with accuracy and you'll have fun with those. But the songs in this book from later in YM's career are not tabbed with much accuracy....far from the way that YM plays them. Some are just downright not playable. The Seventh Sign is a perfect example. The arpeggio prelude to Yngwie's solo (as it is tabbed in the book) is impossible to play. The transcriber tries to keep the lines boxed in as much as possible whereas YM goes all over the fretboard on that run. I bought this book, not to be an Yngwie wannabe, but to figure out his approach to arpeggios and sweep picking, and the tab for this song is a real disappointment. But again, the earlier songs are ok.

Great book for Yngwie Fans

I don't own this book, but I do own all the books that this is derived from. I looked through the book at a local guitar center and these transcriptions are kept in their accuracy. A great book and a must for any Yngwie fan. Most of the stuff is advanced, however intermediate players will be able to tackle Icarus Dream Suite, Heaven Tonight, and Dreaming without too much difficulty. The rest is pretty advanced work. I think they should have included Crystal Ball from Odyssey as well as Soldier Without Faith from Marching Out, but it's still a good anthology.

Superlative!

This book is very accurate and very expansive. There are a lot of songs to learn. All in all the presentation is first rate, it helps the book to become more accessible. There is always something interesting to learn, even if it is a quick lick or so. Easily the best tab book I own, and thats saying something.
