A Beautiful Piece

We got introduced to this song last year and it came to life. We had hit a ruff spot for a while and the song just came to life. We perfomed it at a choir festival in WA and came in first in the non-mixed classical competiton. We all fell in love with this song and it made it that much better.

Song that takes time and understanding

Our Top Women's Choir just finished this piece for a state wide competition and came in in the top few. It's a beautifully emotional piece, and can't be done correctly with out really understanding the meaning of the words. It really needs to be sang not only through words but also emotion and the eyes. It's wonderful and I definitely recommend it for a more advanced group who can really preform.

Stunning!

I find David Childs to be my favorite composer still living. The song shows all that he really is a musical genius! I have met him on several occasions and he has worked with the chir I'm in. This song is truly amazing.

to a student in high school....

The song is VERY beautiful. Sadly, there are hard words in the piece(ex: paradice, weep, dry). I find this an amazing piece, i'm singing it in a big treble choir and the contrast in the volume makes it a very nice beginning piece to experiment with tonal quality and volume.

Amazing Song

I am in an after school choir and Im in the top group. We sang this song for a tour and we still are performing it. Whenever we sing it, I get goosebumps up my arms and I feel as if I could fly. This song is truely amazing and it has changed my life.

Amazing song

"I performed this song with my qaurtet and found it a difficult but truly amazing piece when we finally performed it for a highschool district competition. Great vocals and beautiful dynamics pull this piece together."

Great Song

This song is in my top five list of songs. The piano is beautiful and vocals are great. It might sound hard but it really isn't to bad.

Absolutely Amazing

I saw this performed by the intermediate group at my middle school and it was absolutely amazing. In addition to the singing, they also did the sign language with it. It was stunning. I recomend it 10000%!

This Was Gorgeous!

I was able to see this piece performed by an excellent women's choir at the high school level. It is a beautiful piece, if it can be done correctly. It seemed difficult with many different parts echoing the others, but I absolutely fell in love with it. The accompanist must be fairly good as well to be able to play this. If you are looking for a unique and beautiful piece for your women's choir or group, I suggest you use this. The group I heard scored a solid one (superior rating) at our Large Group Choral Festival this year. This happened to be the last piece they performed that day.
