I absolutely love this collection! Playing these familiar melodies like 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' and 'Sunrise, Sunset' on the flute is so enjoyable and relaxing. I absolutely love these arrangements! I have not played any of them at a wedding, but I have played at a funeral. (You Raise Me Up.....a wonderful soulful arrangement) I've actually played You Raise Me Up at several occasions, none of them weddings. The other songs are beautiful for just about any occasion, and can be played in church. (The Lord's Prayer). I love the fact that they are not too difficult, but with the orchestral arrangements, they make me sound better than I am. We all should have Gabriel's Oboe at our disposal to play!! Highly recommend.

I found the arrangements in this collection to be quite nice. Some of the pieces included in this book struck me as odd (Do people really want music from The Lion King at their wedding?). Also, there were some obscure songs the average wedding guest isn't likely to know, and since lyrics could not be heard, I probably won't play those unless the bride and groom request them. I guess I just like wedding music to be meaningful. At any rate, there are some beautiful selections to choose from regardless of your criteria. I found the book to be a worthwhile purchase and would recommend it.
