Practice Is Essential And Fun
I abandoned piano to play Hammond organ in the 70's. Over the years I lost essential ensemble piano playing techniques. Having started with this publication I hope to progress to more advanced versions. I have found Play Alongs invaluable as an aid to re-learning.

Unusable!
These tracks are unusable for someone who wants to use them in any public venue. There is a voice counting out loud and then - boom - right into the music without any intro. Most of the arrangements are beautiful, but are ruined by how they are recorded. You need to remove the counting - it's not needed for something like this - and add introductions of a measure or two. As it is, I wasted my money on this one!

Some good tunes . . . many quite fast . . .
I have enjoyed practicing with this book - but compared to the others I bought it is my least favorite as I found some of the arrangements a bit faster than I would have anticipated given the ballad nature of some of the tunes. I am a beginner, so it'll be good though to get the skills up . . . but not as enjoyable to play along. Maybe when I'm more proficient I'll enoy all the tunes . . .
