A Minor Masterpiece in a Value Priced Urtext
This charming sonata, which contains faint echoes of Haydn and Beethoven, ought to be a part of every violist's library. It also serves a pedagogical purpose for teaching classical style. I like this Schott edition of the Hummel because it provides a clean, not over-edited urtext at an attractive price....
