Listen to the Original!!
Find a recording of Paul Doktor playing his compilation! He was a GREAT violist, and while Ms. Foster does everyone a service by making these available with a piano accompaniment, her playing of these solos is out of tune and bland in comparison to the late Mr. Doktor.

Good viola parts, wheres the piano?
I ordered the book , it came a week late, and I have an audition for college in a month. I finally received my book and came to find out there was no piano accompaniment sheet music, just a CD to listen to. Now I have to order another book...

Excellent recording
As a viola teacher, I thoroughly recommend this recording and method, for intermediate players. The examples of performance are done beautifully and soulfully by Ms. Foster and Ms. Wingreen. I would buy more recordings done by this group.

Paul Doktor pieces at last!
At last an accompaniment for the well known Paul Doktor duets for piano and viola! Good piano accompaniment even if Kathleen Foster sets a rather poor example on the viola. Never mind, it encourages you to do better. By the way Paul Doktor's name is prominently displayed on the accompanying...
