Valse and Romance by Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943). Edited by Maurice Hinson. For Piano. Masterworks; Piano Trio (1 Piano, 6 Hands); Trio. Belwin Edition. Late Intermediate level piece for the Piano Trio event with the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Festivals Bulletin 2008-2009-2010. 20th Century; Masterwork; Romantic. Late Intermediate. Book. 28 pages. Published by Belwin Music (AP.PA02284A).

ISBN 0757934137. 20th Century; Masterwork; Romantic.

Written when the composer was just 17 to 18 years of age, these romantic-styled pieces for piano trio were dedicated to 3 friends, Natalya, Lyudmila, and Vera Skalon. They feature a short passage that would later be used in Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto, beginning the 2nd movement. It is an especially nice, and playable, ensemble concert piece, technically within the reach of late intermediate artists.

Valse & Romance by Rachmaninoff

This is a very easy to read edition, with interesting notes about the composer and editor. It is also a fun piece to learn, where the acrobatics of three players at one bench is more difficult than the individual parts.

Probably the prettiest 6-hands piece ever.

The Romance is probably the most beautiful 6-hands piece you'll ever come accross. The Waltz is also nice. Both are not difficult, but requires coordination between the 3 players (obviously). Highly recommended!
