Great!!!
My school just finished performing this musical for our annual spring musical , which we call Pow Wow. This turned out to be one of the BEST productions we've done. It was fun to perform and play. I actually am a member of the orchestra, and usually for these kind of productions, the orchestra, crew, and cast tend to be fairly separate groups. But this musical, with its humor and catchy songs brought us all together, making us an even closer "family" than we were before. I am a classically trained cellist who's been playing since I was about 12 and normally I don't like jazz style music, but this musical has definately changed my mind about it. It has definately become one of my all time favorite musicals. I highly recommend this musical!

Great!!!!
After seeing Thoroughly Modern Millie on broadway I couldn't wait to get the sheet music, and I wasn't dissapointed. These songs are put together wonderfully and almost all are in the original key and can be played along with the soundtrack. However, I would NOT recommend this if you have played piano for less than 5 years, I've played for 6 years and have a hard time playing a lot of parts, which can be frustrating. But most of my favorite songs are in easier keys, thankfully. :) This is a great book, lots of fun to play (and sing), and I highly recommend it!!

Nearly Perfect
From when I first saw this show, I've been craving the sheet music. After ordering it, I'm so glad I made the purchase. However, the only song cut from this book was one of my favorite numbers, "Muqin". Apart from that, some songs break out into difficult keys, such as D flat, (5 flats) B, (5 sharps) and G flat (6 flats)! Some songs have minimal accompaniment in some places, leaving out familiar instrumental lines, like the jazz piano in "Only in New York". "The Speed Test" is impossible to play with the melody line in the piano accompaniment part, especially when it becomes ridiculously fast. However, this book keeps all keys true to the actual show (except when noted), it includes shortened instrumentals and dance breaks in most songs, and includes extra or different lyrics in some places. Don't be discouraged by some very intense-looking music, it truly is very fresh and fun to play and sing along with!

How Much Do I Love This?!?!
Thoroughly Modern Millie is only the best music in the entire world! This has the best songs for Musical Theater voices. Everyone should own a copy of this show.
