Thirty-Five Miniatures and Other Pieces for Organ by Flor Peeters. For Organ. Masterworks; Organ - Method or Collection. Summy-Birchard Edition. 20th Century; Masterwork. Book. 64 pages. Published by Alfred Music Publishing (AP.0602).

ISBN 0874876028. 20th Century; Masterwork.

Selected by James Conely. These 35 contemporary style miniatures for organ are lovely improvisatory pieces written in various styles and moods, in most major, minor and modal keys. Several pieces are marked 'con Ped.,' but since they are generally easy and most are written on two staves instead of three, they may be played on two manuals alone. Registration suggestions are included.

"Elegy" is absolutely gorgeous on an early 20th century American tracker organ with a dulciana and a gedeckt against each other with a pedal bourdon underneath. The marches and corteges make excellent...
