a vision of the beyond...

One of Ives' seminal masterpieces, this piece along with Central Park in the Dark, marks the beginning of Ives' maturity. The beauty of this work is quite astonishing and its revolutionary construction is a marvel to behold. One of the finest works in all of American music.

The Unanswered Question

A beautiful example of Ives ability to create tone clusters and polytonality. At the same time he has made it easier for people to grow an appreciation for modernist music.
