the ultimate pop/rock fake book
this book is another winner.I have bought a total of 4 fake books this year and this one lives up to the same standard and quality of the rest. One has to think of the total cost if one had to buy all the sheet music! it contains. Will but more as and when they become available

Excellent book
100's of songs with melody and chords (by name, not chord boxes) noted, typically 1 or 2 songs per page (so no page flipping) and well indexed. Arranged alphabetically by song title in the book, indexed by title, recording artist and chronologically. A lot of great music, perfect for arranging for solo guitar for me but will be used for years to come. A bargain for so many songs, a big book, spiral bound and quality paper.

The Ultimate Fake Book Pop Rock
Nice book with many songs that are not found in other books on the market. It's a lot of fun that lasts a long time. The chords let you do your own thing with each song. A real selling point for me is the spiral binding. It's too bad that most music books still have the old glued binding that keeps closing the pages as you are trying to play. Not so with this book.

Excellent Collection
An excellent and comprehensive collection of POP Songs from the last 40-50 years and a real value when compared to the cost of individual sheet music.

Title is a little exagerated
I would not consider this book as the ultimate pop rock fake book because it is lacking in some very popular titles like La Isla Bonit, from Madonna, Eye of the Tiger by Survivor, Money, Shine on you Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd and other recent titles by distinguished artists. I own the book, yet it is a little limiting.

Great for Gatherings!
Just got this book yday, and I Love it!!! Sooo many songs that I know from folk to modern pop. Perfect for those gatherings when people can gather around and sing! All you need is a good chord diagram and play! The lyric and melody part helps greatly to remember the song and sing along too! Not for those who want to learn the complete song in guitar, but good for those who just wants to be able to strum chords and sing along.

A very convenient tool!
I would really recommend this book. It's quite accurate, it's great value for money, and anyone in need of decent (new?) repertoire should keep this handy. Works great for educational purposes as well. Maybe more of some main musical themes could have ben transcribed in the charts as well, but all in all, it's a great book to have!

No chord display
I know it's my own fault...but I don't read music, I am self taught and I need the cord displyed on each page to make it a little eaiser on more difficult chords. Otherwise I am sure for most its fine! Don

All On One Page
This book is a step above a lot of other compilations in that it does not require any page turning in the middle of a tune. Some songs only require a couple lines, others the whole two facing pages, but I haven't found anything missing. A wide variety of music. A great investment.

Great Music Source
The Ultimate Pop/Rock Fake Book has a great selection of song. As a professional entertainer the book actually becomes a useful tool. Having the lyrics and basic musicial notation and chord symbols allows me to rewrite my song selections quickly cutting down on valuable time.

sketch
The songs are sketches of what should be played. Adding more advanced chords makes the tunes come to life, for example try minor 9ths instead of minor 7ths, Of couse you can voice a Am9 as a Cmajor7th and have the bass player add the root A.

Excellent for Beginners
If you are just starting out and are tired of playing the same old folk tunes in music books that generations have long forgotten (rightly so) then you must have this book. I have spent hundreds of hours learning these songs and then figuring our improvisations which have seriously advanced my skills from novice to "hey-I-can play-this-for-others."

Excellent Resource
I bought this book from Sheetmusic Plus about a month ago, and it has become one of my favorites. There are lots of great songs in the collection, and I discover new titles all the time. The type-set is clear and easy to read. I really like the fake-book format which enable me to compose my own arrangements. This is definitely an excellent resource for anyone wanting quick and accurate access to hundreds of great songs!
