Very appropriate for young performers
What an amazing collection for teenagers. The CD is a bonus, sing, play the piano, or the guitar! Eliza 'just you wait" will be this year's stage highlight for our 13 yr old. we love this collection.

great book
Great songs! My personnal favorite is "God Help The Outcasts." Though "In My Own Little Corner" looks like a fun song to perform

Great!
I like this book. It has easy to sing words and catchy tunes. I wouldn't say it's easy for piano, though.

Memory and God Help the Outcasts
I have been singing with private lessons for some time now. Since my voice won't be fully developed for the next ten years or so, I being fifteen, singing to full-potential on 'Memory' from CATS was difficult. But in a very constructive way. It helped me to learn how to step out of my classical boundaries into the Broadway spectrum way of singing. This book is a wonderful tool for students who are considering musical theatre as a career. The songs are a wonderful, age-appropriate for teenagers and the book has been prized highly by me and my teacher. It is a brilliant, well-suited book for singers that are developing their head voice and range. I recommend this for anyone who considers singing for theatre!

Not just for beginners.
I started voice lessons last fall and this was the book my teacher told me to get. While some songs were difficult others were easy. For beginners to intermediate. This book will push you to expand your horizons and grow in music. The song selection is great, you'll find yourself practicing without even realizing it! Deffinately a great book for guys.

Good book
This book is not really for beginners even though I have gently used it that way. This one is better for intermediate students.

A hit with my Musical theatre class
This wonderful collection has been a hit with the teens in my music theatre class. They are pleased to work on material for their age group rather than being forced to use material for younger kids.

Wish I Had Bought It Sooner!
This is an excellent resource for young singers. I rated it's difficulty at intermediate/advanced due to some of the titles being just that, for example "Think of Me." Many titles included could be considered beginner or early intermediate. In other words, your student can grow with this book. In the past, I have utilized many sources for these same songs. These are top picks from my students over the past six years. Now I have all these songs in one book/place! Love the accompaniment CD!

great collection; real variety of levels & songs
This book has such a wide variety of songs that there's something to suit just about any young singer! With some really unusual songs as well as more 'standard' numbers. The CD backings are very well performed and really help with practice performances. As a teacher, I've found this book to be really useful!

Standard Repertoire for My Students
This is a standard book for most of my students. I require that they all have one. Great for beginners and intermediate students. The only songs I don't like in this edition are "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend" and "There are Worse Things I Could Do". They don't belong in a Young Women's Edition in my opinion.

Wonderful resource!
The CD that comes with this is great. I wish more of the music books had them. As a vocalist, learning to read music is being supported by looking at and hearing the music at the same time. I have learned many of the songs already using the CD. I love it!

Timeless
I bought this book when I was 16, I am now 20 and still use it. Yes the arrangements can be a little watered down, but they are wonderful for warming your voice, and for auditioning.

Excellent for Auditions
I recommend these books for musical theatre auditions and voice classes. The companion CD is so helpful because you can practic with it at home. Comes with sheet music and CD, so you can use either when auditioning.
