Yes, people DO play these!

These excercises are not for beginners or dabblers. Considerable dedication to mastering piano technique is required. The rewards are immense!

Does Anyone Actually Play These?

These are some of the most technically difficult studies I have seen. Every 8-10 measures there is a repeat sign with the general number of repeats given at the header. The notes are cramped into what seems to be small pages. I generally consider Peters as good publishers but this was not at all pleasing to the eye. Not really etudes but passages in virtuoso playing tied together with repeat signs
