Best LITTLE Fake Book Ever 3rf Edition
Little is the size of the print...not good, if you're a musician reading on the job. However, the tune selections are wonderful!

Tiniest print but lots of songs
I think a gigging musician would find this volume too small, especially in low light or in older age--ha! Large variety with some more recent music. Probably a judgment call by the publishers as to what songs might make the classics list and be valuable after its decade. This kind of publication, the fake book, is one way to encourage students to learn chord theory--every musician ultimately runs across a situation where knowing how to read a lead sheet is useful or necessary, whether you like it or not.

This is a small print edition
This item is a very small print, 6X9 inch edition, as stated in the description. If this is too small for you then order the regular, large sized version instead.

You better own binoculars
I did not realize this book was so small when I ordered it or I would never in a thousand years have bought it. Losta songs but some not that well written even for a fake book.

Lots of songs
How does one rate a fake book as to beginner, advanced, etc. when the musician has to do the work? At any rate, it has many songs, my only criticism is that they are not necessarily there completely--some only have the verse. It will entertain the piano player for hours. A section on rhythums, intros, and endings would make it the BEST fake book ever.

Could be a lot better
This book had some good songs in it but in my opinion it had too many oldies and too much broadway in it. I would prefer more 80's to current day pop music. Also, the font is really small so be aware.

Good Or Bad??? I will have to say good.
This book is not too bad. I would say that it could definitely do you some good in the future. I myself do not play the guitar, i had bought it for my mom.It has over 1,000 great songs, from hip-hop, to country, it is all good. It is good for experts, and good for beginners, you can't go wrong either way, and at such a cheap price too.
