The Music of Henry Mancini Plus One
The backing tracks are of an excellent quality but i must say that they are very short, as you are just getting in to the mood & enjoying what you are playing it ends to quickly, good confidence booster though, hearing yourself playing some classic tunes.

AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My concert band played it and my partner and I finally had a solo. We were both nervous but had fun. We both play the Tenor Sax.

I liked it.
I enjoyed the arrangement. I particularly liked the Pink Panther and Peter Gunn. I didn't have any problem with the accomliment. For those that are rhymically challanged like myslef, I wish it had a demonstration on the CD. Fortunately, after a few times I was able to stay with the track.

Wax in ears
I think somebody has wax in his ears. The book is good but the cd quality is really bad. Perhaps it would be good to also purchase some of Mancini's music to supplement the book.

Cheap sound
For those who want to play with a simple jazz trio, this is the book to buy. But those expecting to be impressed by the backing tracks should move on. It sounds quite cheap. There is a drummer and a pianist. Everything else sounds like midi added later. The guitar on Peter Gunn is a joke.
