      all the songs of the era , many show tunes. the book is all that it should be . a very good one to have in one's collection.

      While a good half of this book includes songs already available in the classic "Michel Legrand Songbook" published by Hal Leonard in 1988, the quality of the newer material is so outstanding that this is another essential purchase.       Playing through this book is nice (and relatively easy), but it is meant for a singer and accompaniment, not piano solo. If treated as solo piano pieces, the arrangements sound a little empty to me. I just wanted to use this music to play for myself, without a singer, so...
