Note from the Arranger
Just looking at the review immediately below. The original orchestral recording does have a G#, creating an A7 chord. However, it did not sound right to me in the piano arrangement, so I left it as a G natural (though I got one complaint about it not being "authentic"). I still stand by my decision to leave out the clashing sounding chord. The G# was never in the piano arrangement and has since been removed from the string quartet arrangement.

The Ludlows - careful: some wrong chords
I was grateful to find this, both as a piano solo and also arranged for string quartet. I read on the arranger's blog how she listened to the soundtrack repeatedly to get the transcription, and it's OK in the "Twilight and Mist" section (opening and closing) but she seems to have an aversion to F# minor chords, which are essential in the Ludlow's section. So when our professional quartet first read it at a gig, it was like "oops, sorry - that didn't sound right!" - the mistakes are in the viola part, as well in the piano arrangement, starting on the 2nd measure of the Ludlow's Theme (letter A) where it should be a F# minor chord - there's NO G# in that measure , or shouldn't be. It's jarring enough to make you wince. So just correct those sections and it's fine.

I Love It!
I was in love with this song when I was a teenager and never could find it and was happy when I found it here. I was a little rusty with the piano from not playing in years but this song was very easy to learn.

Great Wedding Song!
I chose this song for my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to -- it was amazing! Everyone wanted to know where I got that music from. Legends of the Fall is one of my favorites and the music score is awesome! I would recommend this sheet music to anyone. I had a pianist who plays very well and she said it was an easy piece!

One of the greatest songs ever
I could play this song everyday and not get sick of it. It is SO beautiful, and though it sounds complicated it really is not. I highly recommend this music.

Sweet melody, simple style
This piece has been transcribed from the James Horner soundtrack, and as a result can be a little stilted in the accompaniment as the piece progresses. Near the middle and end of the piece, I actually had a better time forming my own harmony off the chords rather than playing it as written. The beginning melody is charming and a joy to play.

Beautiful
I have always loved this song. I really enjoy this peace of music. Not very difficult to learn, picked up really quickly. There are some chords that don't seem to be correct but overall its a wonderful piece of music.

the beauty of James Horner's music
A fairly simple but enjoyable adaptation that captures the elegance of James Horner's beautiful piece. This arrangement does not cover the entire piece, but it covers the best and prettiest sections. Anyone who loves James Horner or movie music in general would find this to be a refreshing piece that is worth the money.
