The introduction imitates the sound of a train coming down the tracks. The piece maintains the same energy level throughout, and all parts are given interesting material. Along with an added optional violin 3 (viola) part, the piano adds some color that does not appear in the string parts to help fill out the ensemble sound. All aboard! (1:42).
