Well Done
Very well compiled book of folk songs from all over the world. I am wondering how long the binding will hold up.

Near perfect collection
I am a professional violinist who needed a collection of folk tunes for arrangement purposes. I have never seen a more complete collection of folk tunes. My only complaint would be that all of the tunes are near the lowest end of the treble clef. This makes it harder to hear the melody unless the performer can transpose up an octave. Overall, I'd recommend it as a great place to start.

Great Music, but horrible Binding Job
The music is great and very easy to read. The only problem with the book is the book itself. The binding job on this book is not strong enough or the right style for a music book. The pages get torn out very easily and the pages do not like to turn on the binding as easy as they should. It is actually worth it to take the book out of the binding and put in a three ring binder, which makes me think that the publisher should just use binders as well!!

Great source
A good compilation of folk music from all over the world. I only wish publishers would bind book in a true spiral so it can be folded back on itself. I have one that is, and it is wonderful.

Folksong Fake Book
Such a wonderful international collection of songs! Most of my childhood favorites are there - and with the right words and original music! I love to look them up and teach them to my children and grandchildren. My only quibble - sometimes I would prefer to have the most popular version rather than the most authentic. But this book is a treasure to link the generations of our families together.

This Book is Just OK
While this book has some excellent selections, I was hoping for some of the more popular folk songs by Peter Paul and Mary and the Kingston Trio which were missing.

STOP! Buy This!
The titles in this fakebook represents many of the famous folk songs that you would be called upon to play at any time. When I picked this book up I turned about 25 pages and instantly bought it. I have referred to it time and time again and wouldn't take anything for my copy. This is an absolute must-have for any performing musician's fakebook collection.
