Wonderful Music

I haven't played the music yet, but looking at the songs, the arrangements are simple but full. I look forward to playing the music.

Good, though not what I expected

Although I found the description to be a bit misleading, I like this book overall. The listing says "all nine songs from the soundtrack...". I assumed this meant that all the music from the movie was included. Oops on my part for not reading carefully! I do agree, though, that they picked good songs for the soundtrack, only I would have liked one battle scene song. I realize, though, that the music would be hard to put to piano because of it's many "layers" of music. Overall, I love Gregson-Williams's beautiful music, and I definitely think that having even a couple songs would be worth the money.

WAY better than Lion Witch & Wardrobe!

I was SO disappointed by the songbook from the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Prince Caspian includes both the theme from "Only the Beginning" and the battle theme AND the modern/rock pieces at the end were so much better than the ones included in LW&W. (Can't Take it In is a good song, but I didn't think it translated to the piano too well.) The Call is so fun and easy to play. It's probably the easiest int the book. I am a Switchfoot fan, so I was hooked on "This is Home" the first time I heard it, and it sounds pretty cool on the piano, too. As for the movie score itself, I like The Door in the Air the best-- it includes almost all the main themes. It's like a Chronicles of Narnia medley. I love it.

Now this is what I wanted!!!

This music book is what every fan of the Narnia music wanted to start with. It is filled with the main themes and is challenging enough for intermediate/advanced players. I particularly like "A Door In The Air" as it includes the very beautiful pieces of music that I wanted to find in the "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe" music book. I also love the song "The Call" which is the reason I bought this book. I thought as I was buying it,"If all the rest is a disappointment at least I have "The Call" to play". I am under the belief that I am one of the first people in my country to buy this book as I don't think any music store here has it. I am so looking forward to buying the Prince Caspian movie in a couple of weeks time. I would highly recommend this music book to any fan of the first or second Narnia movies!!!!!!!

So much better than first Narnia books

The first set of Narnia books were both way too easy for the piano player that needs a challenge! This book was FANTASTIC, and for once, they picked the right songs - the main theme music that everyone really does want to learn!!!
