Just don't buy this.

Just don't buy this. The book is very basic, and doesn't even present full transcription of the songs, or even the solos!. Also, the transcriptions are "easier" versions of the solos, so you don't get accurate transcriptions. [...] . I wish i hadn't bought this one.

this book is awsome!!!!!!

This guitar book is awsome. They have every guitar solo for the songs, the thing about the solos are they only show onw. But every song has a guitar solo. The cd is really helpful on what the songs should sould like and how the should be played. I thinks if you play guitar this is a great book to get even if your not a big fan of guns roses. This book is worth its pay and more.

Great book!

I thought it was great! It's a shame it dosen't include the whole songs, just major parts of them. But the stuff that's in there is great and it's real easy to follow along since u got the cd. It's not a beginers book like some people would probably think because of the cd an all. some parts may be easy but if u try playing them at the same speed Slash does it's all a different story.

Good Book

Great breakdown of Slash's style with accurate transcriptions with the cd. I really enjoyed how I could listen to just the guitar without the vocals. This book really stands out from the others and I recommend that if you like Guns n Roses and are a beginner this is the book for you.

Read Hear first

I know what I am talking about when it comes to the axe and trust me the stuff in this book isn't easy and anyone who says so is blagging and trying to look big whe in fact they are weeners, anyhow this book is exellent for getting into playing style of Slash. I suggest that you work through this book and then buy the 'Guns N Roses complete Volumes', the reason why I suggest this is because if you can work through this book like I did you will get the most out of the Guns N Roses Complete books which contain all of the Gunners songs as Slash and Izzy/Gilby played it. End of story dont listen to anyone else coz this is the way it is!

Slash is the best guitarist.

What more do you need to see or hear? It's slash! The book covers the great songs and guitar work of the best band and guitarist of all-time.

A good introduction to GNR

This book is an excellent introduction to the various styles and techniques used by slash. But it is just that: an introduction. It is accurate, clear and easy to follow, but it only cites certain parts of songs to illustrate techniques; it is incomplete. Experienced guitarists and completists should look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a solid place to start, like i was, you'll find it in this book.

This book isn't what you're looking for

It's too simple. It's just like a simple tab that you find in the internet. Also it doesn't show all the song tabbed. Just some parts. For example, in sweet child o'mine the last solo is missing. It seems poor, nothing compared with some cherry lane stuff like "metallica - Black" tab book which i own. That is excellent. This one is very bad. Just don't buy it:)

Want to play note for note like Slash?

This book gave clear tablature on some of Guns N' Roses' greatest hits. Easy to use because each song is divided into sections like... "Intro", "Chorus", "Solo",and "Outro", so you know where in the tabs the piece is being played for you on the accompanied cd. The more you use it, the more efficient you become and you begin to pick up Slash's guitar tricks much more quickly. It helped me. I love Guns N' Roses and this book is a huge influence for any guitarist.
