Great for advanced students' sight-reading
I always have my students do 3 minutes of sight-reading at the beginning of their lessons. This book is a good challenge for my advanced students AND me! One part may begin "easy," but watch out when the page turns, the key changes and suddenly your notes are all over the piano! Fun!!

Interesting arrangements
Some very interesting, unexpected harmony and support, especially in the secondo. Nice variety. We've very much enjoyed playing these duets. We love the tunes that are included. It did seem that the secondo part was consistently more challenging than the primo, which at times was not challening enough for my primo friend who plays with me. So much of the primo was in the very high range which does not seem as rich as those songs might enjoy. We would love to seem more duet offerings in this difficulty range.

Great compostions
I am a 55 year old woman taking piano lessons. I had some piano in my youth, plus many years of playing the saxophone. My piano teacher has coupled me with a 17 year old student who is very advanced. We have found this book a great mix for her advanced talent plus my intermediate abilities. On top of that the melodies are wonderful. I am especially fond of Over the Rainbow.
