Great book for Nirvana fans!

I got this book soon after I got my bass. I learned a handfull of songs in a few days. The tabs are very accurate, maybe a slip up or two but you can easily find them though. There's some songs that really shouldn't be in there, or should have added two more songs to make it an even count of 20. Depending on if you have developed any rhythm or comfortable with your bass, don't buy it yet. My first songbook and a great one at that.

quite the book

this book certainly proves to be the nirvana bass book to end all nirvana bass books. the song selection might not be the best, but the tabs are well detailed and provide a good guide into krist's lines. also, the chords are given for every song, making bassists who play the guitar able to follow along with one book instead of two. all in all, great book.

A few things are screwed up

Most of the music is written correctly but there are a few mistakes with the lyrics to "lithium" and a part of the tabs to "lithium" was not added. This book is good for early bass players. Krist Novoselic Forever!

Krist is Kool

Krist Novoselic, that is. I love his bass lines, even if they are pretty simple. But you can pretty much play all the instruments (except drums) from this book: it's got chord names, lyrics, basslines in tab and regular notation. It even explains alternate tunings. A few minor quibbles with song selection here and there, but overall, this book is cool!
