        Outstanding transcriptions

        Tasteful and beautiful transcriptions, very faithful to the original. Not harmonically overloaded like some of the Godowsky transcriptions. Siloti's fingerings alone are worth getting this volume. They're so smart and show such pianistic know-how, it's like getting a lesson from a master teacher. Highly recommended.

        Not worth buying

        For years I have heard great things about the transcriptions by Siloti, and after purchasing this book I realized it was a mistake, few original transcriptions, and then several pieces from the standard repertoire noted by him.
