Superior training - a must for experinced players!

Not for the novice player, but a great tool for the more experienced. All aspects are covered here - tonguing, flexibility, fingering, high and low range, breath control, endurance. A good thing with these exercises is that they may look hard at first, but you can play slowly until you get the techniques down. Make sure you read the author's instructions for each segment.

Every Great Trumpet Player Has This

Every great trumpet player in the world has this book, simply because it's a classic. When I was in high school in the 1970's, this book terrified me. Clarke, looking stern, was pictured on the cover, and his entreaties inside seemed impossible. ("Play 8-16 times in one breath.") But once I figured out that Clarke;s Technical Studies was more a book about playing with efficiency, rather than finger dexterity, it all came together. You must own this book if you are a trumpet player!

Basically the trumpet bible

An excellent book for anyone that plays trumpet. I have studied trumpet performance at BGSU and this book improved facility and other technical aspects of playing that are necessary to become great.
